How to Become a Lab Assistant

The process to request a position involves the following set of steps.

  • Consult the posted schedules for the semester in which you would like to work from the links on the left. Locate laboratories that fit within your schedule and ablilities.
    • Laboratories that have been assigned have names listed in bold.
    • You must be enrolled in classes at least 6 hours in a Fall or Spring semster or 3 hours in a Summer semester.
  • Select the lab or multiple labs in which you would like to work and then select the Lab Assistant Request Form from the links on the left and submit the information requested
  • Once that has been done, you will be contacted. If you are assigned then there will be more instructions provided to allow you to be formally hired!

Once you've gone through the hiring process then you can be re-assigned each semester as you like. For any following semester just submit another Lab Assistant Request Form and you will be assigned immediately!
